Luisa Cruz

Luisa Cruz of Lisbon, Portugal says finding photography was, for her, the “discovery of a brand new world.”  With the camera, she says, she is able to “write with light…to share and feel emotions.”  A married teacher and mother, she hopes one day to travel the world to “share the way I feel things and see colors.”

Ever a student of light and details, Luisa cheerfully says she is “always in search of new ways to be happy....creative...unique...me.”  Not content with the photograph alone, Luisa contemplates her work and often adds her thoughts or the thoughts of others to them.

As you view Luisa Cruz's breathtaking artistry, you will see that she has already gone far in achieving that creative uniqueness.  Her view of the world around her ranges from the soft to the dramatic and pure enchantment—and is always a treat for the eye and imagination.

The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach -- waiting for a gift from the sea.
