Andrew Losowsky's

"The Doorbells of Florence"

It’s rare that one comes up with something truly unique in this crowded world of publishing.  A writer living in Spain, Andrew Losowsky has certainly done so, however, in his “Doorbells of Florence.”  Starting with the unthinkable (a cover with no text), he begins with a photographic tour of, yes, doorbells.

Losowsky goes on to tell you a story behind each doorbell in this Italian city.  True stories?  Perhaps—probably not, but all intriguing and delightful.  In his sketches we find romance, disappointment, mystery and a little inside humor you can't help but feel is being shared with you alone, accompanied by a mischievous wink and smile from Losowsky.

From cover to back, 'Doorbells of Florence' is a creative little masterpiece worth saving and savoring.  You'll remember that book about doorbells.  In Florence.

“Doorbells" recently won the prestigious Blooker Prize for Fiction and has been widely acclaimed.  The literary blog, Pod-dy Mouth, says, "The book--images to prose--is absolutely outstanding."  Renowned critic Michael Allen describes it as not merely a gem in itself: it is also a supreme and sublime example of…a writer taking full advantage of the new technology."

"A spectacular achievement to say the least," says POD Critic.
